About Us

Numulgi Memorial Hall is and has always been a building that was constructed to allow the Numulgi residents to meet together.

Strong, healthy communities create, encourage and celebrate positive relationships through a shared vision, events and activities. Wellbeing is the central task of community. To provide a place of support, to feel connected and be a place of belonging. Resilience is enhanced when community connects.

Numulgi has a rich history of pioneering, farming, defence of our Nation and peaceful, productive country living.

Many residents have strong family connection to this land over multiple generations and the more recent arrivals seek to grow that connection as they settle and establish their futures in Numulgi or close by.

Our vision for Numulgi Hall is to maintain and continue building a welcoming community that supports and encourages healthy futures for all people of this locality.

Our Hall is managed and maintained by volunteers. Our hall committee meets regularly to plan upcoming events and decide how the finances of the hall are used.

All are welcome to support and become members ($5).

We raise funds through classes that ask for donations and our teachers volunteer their time, expertise, skills and energy. We also raise funds through hiring our hall for events, parties and gatherings that support the local community. Our committee applies and occasionally receives government grants that supplement our income. All funds raised go directly to covering our costs and  maintaining and enhancing the hall.
